Baldwin County
Retired Educators' Association
BCREA
Baldwin County Retired Educators' Association, BCREA, was originally established in 1963 as the Baldwin County Retired Teachers Association.
All retired educators who worked in public education are encouraged to join.
BCREA meets six times a year. Most meetings are held at Mama Lou's Restaurant in Robertsdale, AL, and summer meetings are held at different venues.
BCREA encourages community service and legislative awareness. It is proud to also offer three $1000 scholarships to high school seniors who plan a career in education.
Additionally, we also have a community project. In 2022, money and baby supplies were collected for the Family Violence Center in Robertsdale. Feed Alabama was another project.
Those who join are part of an association established to meet the needs of retired educators and to continue to serve the larger community.
Meetings provide time for retirees to meet, socialize and reminiscence. Additionally, members are provided with needed information and kept current on legislative matters that affect their lives. And there is even entertainment from time to time! Membership is only $15 a year.
We are proud to say, "We are BCREA!"
